The Ring
January 1966
A vicious Muhammad Ali a.k.a. Cassius Clay is pictured taunting a badly over matched Floyd Patterson in their November, 1965, bout.
The bout lasted twelve excruicating rounds, in most part because Ali chose to "punish" Patterson for his critcism of Ali's conversation to the Muslim faith and Patterson's refusal to acknowledge Ali's change of name.
Not a pretty night for the sport or the man.
