"Old Bones"

Joe Brown fought 160 bouts in a career that began in 1946 and ended in 1970. In fact, Brown had been fighting professionally for eleven years before his first title bout. He made it count, defeating Bud Smith in August of 1956, Joe Brown went on to hold the World Lightweight Championship until 1962. He successful defended the title 10 times.
