Kid Chocolate
vs.
Pelon Guerra
2 January 1936
Habana
His once marvelous skills vastly erroded by the ravages of disease, time and high living the Keed continued to fight on throughout the late 1930's. Remarkably, for the years 1936 -1938 he won all but three of thirty-four bouts beginning with his second round knock out of Pelon Guerra. The other three bouts ended in draws. But, the once magnificent Kid Chocolate would never again compete at the championship level. He retired from the ring in 1938.
