Doctor Says Clay Scared To Death

A ranting Cassius Clay shouts at Sonny Liston as Dr. Alexander Robbins has just completed his examination. Clay's pulse rate was reported as 120 beats per minute, more than double his normal rate of 54 beats per minute. Dr. Robbins stated, ' (Clay was) emotionally unbalanced, scared to death and liable to crack up before he enters the ring."

A classic original vintage AP wirephoto. Oversize: 11 x 14 in overall, image 11 x 11 1/2. Text in right hand margin border. Condition: Excellent. Corner creases in white margin, not affecting image and very minor surface crazing. Uncommon particularly in this size.
