Expect Big Crowd To See Dempey's Chicago Fights
"Jack Dempsey once the ripping snorting heavyweight boxing champion of the world-will launch upon his career as a promoter here tonight.
Dempsey for this first venture into the prmotional game, has matched Jackie Fields, the welterweight champion of the world, and Vince Dundee to travel over the ten-round limit.
As a supporting card, Dave Shade, Chicago will meet Joe Roche, California, in a 10-round semi-windup.
Sale of tickets for the card has been stiff, and one of the largest crowds ever to jam the Coliseum was expected to be present when the old Manassa Mauler crawls under the ropes-as a promoter.
The main bout of Jack Dempsey's first boxing show as a promoter in Chicago will be broadcast tonight over 27 stations of the National Broadcasting Company.
Blow-by-blow account of the Jackie Fields-Vince Dundee encounter will be given from ringside by Grahman McNee."
