Jefferson Dickson
Jefferson Dickson, American born, was more than a decade the singular force in the promotion of boxing events in Europe. By most accounts, Jeff Dickson was to boxing in Europe what Tex Rickard was to boxing in America. He had the dubious distinction of introducing Primo Carnera to Paris fight crowds, and was reviled in some circles as having single handed led to the demise of the London Sporting Club. But, debonoir, handsome Jefferson Dickson was difficult for anyone to truly dislike.
Near the end of World War II, Jefferson Dickson, a photographer with U. S. Army Intelligence was reported missing and presumed dead.
