George Godfrey " The Leiperville Shadow" and lightweight contender Sailor Thomas square-off in this vintage original Perry Wiley photograph. Godfrey at six feet three inches and weighing over 240 pounds dwarfs Thomas by comparison. Both fighters were under the management of Jimmy Dougherty known as "The Baron of Leiperville"Perry Wiley lived in nearby Holmes, Pennslyvania.
