Roy " Cut and Shoot " Harris

The apex of Roy Harris' ring career came that Los Angeles night in 1958 when he downed the reigning heavyweight champion, Floyd Patterson. But the school teacher from the little town of Cut and Shoot, Texas, was to have a fleeting moment at the pinnacle. Patterson got to his feet and in round twelve when Harris went down he did not get up.
