James Jeffries

and

James Corbett

June 30, 1910

Moana Springs, Nevada

The antagonistic Corbett had hitched his wagon to Jim Jeffries star, or sometimes it seemed the wagon was pulling the star, either way Corbett was out front often and early promoting Jeffries effort to defeat Johnson.

On June 30, 1910, Jeffries had his last day of public work, during which he sparred before a large crowd which included Nevada Governor Dickerson, and the once barred John L. Sullivan. Jeffries sparred two rounds with Corbett on that day.
