World Heavyweight Champion, Sonny Liston was a great crowd favorite. He appeared prior to the exciting Walker-Prescott bout. Liston sparred and thrilled the crowd to his rope jumping routine to the strains of "Night Train".
The fight that followed wasn't bad either, as Billy Walker won a controversial TKO over Johnny Prescott. The fight was stopped with 84 seconds remaining in the final round. Prescott although trapped against the ropes and not returning punches vehemently protested afterwards.
But in spite of it all, Charles Sonny Liston stole the show...
