The much feared and much revered Terry McGovern was such a strong 4 ro 1 pre-fight favorite that there was virtually no betting. Even the $5,000 that McGovern and his manager Sam Harris were offering was not able to be put down.

To the shock and dismay of most Terry McGovern was knocked mid way in round number two. The brillance of McGovern was never to return.
