Eddie Moy

v.

Red Watson

The Last Twenty Round Fight in San Francisco

December 18, 1914

"Moy shared the dressing room with Watson and, just before the fighters were called for their feature bout, Jack "Doc" Kearns, Watson's manager, approached Moy, 'You don't have much of a chance', Kearns told Moy, "but do you want to bet on yourself?" Moy replied he didn't have enough money to cover Kearn's bet. When Moy's friend, Dick Hyland offered to cover the bet, Kearns demurred, " My bet is with Moy".
