Prologue
Michael Spinks and Michael Tyson in the same ring on the same night,
amd both undefeated,
and both winning by knockout.
This fall night of 1986 Michael Spinks delivered perhaps the hardest punch of his career dropping European Heavyweight Champion, Steffan Tanstad in the fourth round,
"Tangstad almost left his feet, and then dropped like an anvil."1
The game Tangstad would rise at the count of eight but within seconds Referee Richard Steele stepped in to stop another barrage.

Earlier, that same evening, in that same ring, Michael Tyson ran his victory string to 27 straight, 25 by knockout. At 1:41 of round number two the stalking of his prey ended as ultimately it must ,
"...with the spindly Chicagoan sitting on the canvas with a vacant stare."1
