When Two Worlds Collide

Their first fight ,some three months earlier ,had ended in controversey, when Referee Richard Steele stepped in between Tyson and Ruddock, as Ruddock was being pummelled on the ropes, but obviously un-hurt. This time promised to be explosive. It seemed theJamacian born Ruddock brought out the best in Tyson in the ring and the worst outside it. Just days before the fight ,in a broadcast interview in which both fighters participated ,via a satelitte hook-up, Tyson taunted Ruddock with the gangster lanaguage of the dark world of his youth. At one point, Tyson sneered at Ruddock saying, "I am going to make you my girl friend..."

While Tyson as always rushed toward the ring surrounded by a phalanx of hangers -on, cornermen and police ,as if in the eye of a storm, as the air filled with the pounding beat and words of Terror Zone by Coma of Souls
